Print Perfect Photoshoot

During a much needed organizational shopping adventure at Target, I received two more sets of photos from Jamie. Naturally, I stopped mid-stride in the middle of the parking lot when I got a glimpse of the shots below. Jamie is a genius..... and I love this outfit. Just about a week before my move to NY, I had my last day at J.Crew and needed to utilize the discount effectively. Let's just say I hit a home run by finding great pieces at affordable prices. And the Prabal shoes for Target, $9. #winning

Now for a styling note: Print on print and mixing print has allowed fashion icons around the world to further up the ante. I took a risk with the "short suit" in a matching stripe and the contrasted orange pattern on the blouse. Not to mention the pops of orange from the shirts and the neon shoes make it that much more fun. I am SO excited to be back in my city where pushing the envelope with style is a norm.

Urban Inspired Photoshoot

Needless to say the photoshoot with Jamie was amazing!!! Love, love, love working with her, and her photos are always beautiful. These shots have an Urban Outfitters feel, which just so happens to be one of my favorite stores. This outfit is also the epitome of my bargain shopping. Both from Urban, the tank was a whopping $5 and the skirt was $10. While most would steer clear of wearing a trapeze top and bell shaped skirt, it works if you have a boyish figure. Last but not least, the wedge sneakers are from Target (aka the mothership) for $35 and the sunglasses are RayBan. More photos to come, so keep an eye out!

Hot Red Pants

For graduation, I was back and forth between two BCBG gems. One, a very Celine looking dress in white with black trim and cut out shoulders. The other, a bright red jumpsuit with open back and open slit details at the neckline. When I put on the jumpsuit on the day of graduation, I felt more at home, more me. Everyone commented on my "hot red pants" after the ceremony- haha. The entire outfit was channeling my inner Rachel Zoe. I wore sky high nude pumps and a bicep bangle. Hopefully, I'll get a better shot of the jumpsuit at some point, but for now, here are are some photos from my graduation day. Enjoy. xx- e

Rediscovering Summer

Came across these beauts while sorting through my hundreds of fashion photos. But first, how 'bout a summertime cocktail to set the mood. Skinny Strawberry Green Tea Mojito. Light and refreshing, this sounds right up my alley.

Skinny Strawberry Green Tea Mojitos
2 servings
Skinny Strawberry Green Tea Mojitos
Ingredients
  • 4 fresh strawberries
  • 8 frozen strawberries
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges + 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 cup Lipton Diet Green Tea {Honey Ginseng}
  • 4 oz white rum
  • small handful of mint leaves
  • 1 Tbls super fine sugar
  • club soda

Instructions
  1. Muddle the lime wedges, fresh strawberries, mint leaves, and sugar together. Add the lime juice and rum. Stir. Add four frozen strawberries to each glass and fill each glass with half of the mixture. Top off with club soda. Garnish this cocktail with sprigs of mint, strawberry or lime slices. --Recipe from www.MomOnTimeout.com

And here's quite a few fashion pics that are still striking my fancy for summer. Enjoy.
