There are few things better than a well dressed man. As of late, I've been assisting on some men's photoshoots, which have been great learning experiences in my growth towards becoming a stylist. One of the trickiest things with men's fashion is creating an outfit that looks stylist but not too "flamboyant" or "metro", if you will. David Beckham seems to pop up a lot, but let's not get too distracted... I've also discovered that my sometimes excessive amount of pinning on Pinterest is really coming in handy when searching for inspirational style images. Here are a few men's street style shots that I've really been digging lately that emit that cool and stylish man.
I've compiled a list of some of my makeup essentials. First things first, face cream. Invest. A great face cream can really make or break how your makeup looks, how it stays, etc. So I like to get "testers" at the department store or mini travel versions to test what I like best. Or you can find some great creams for a low price at places like TJMaxx or Marshalls. I found the H20 brand below at Marshalls and love it because it hydrates without getting your face all shiny. It soaks in. (The Aveeno comes in a close second). The rest of the products are my favorites in each category, some at various price points. Enjoy :) xx e Face Cream
I got some great shots while walking along the Hudson and then down the Highline towards MILK studios where a lot of the NYFW presentations have been held. While the view was breathtaking, the trip was well worth the 40 block-walk when we ran into Leandra Medine of "The Man Repeller". She was so gorgeous in person and in a timeless all-white outfit, classic red lip. Been noticing a lot of all white despite the "no white after labor day" cliche and lovvvvvinggg it. Being a lover of all things neutral and especially white in the summer, I'm all for a carrying white into all seasons, especially when in the right fabrics. Headed back to Lincoln Center tomorrow for more footage, so check back soon!
