My First Runway

I recently participated in Project RunAway here in Knoxville! I was so thrilled to be paired with Taylar Noblett as my designer. She is a Fashion Merchandising and Design major at Tennessee Tech and needless to say we were two peas in pod. She took a silk robe, a wedding dress, a pillow, and viola-- backless kimono with lace detail on the bodice, lace sleeve insert, and a killer headband. You can't see to well int the picture, but there are some vintage/hippie/gypsy tassels on the sleeve. I was in love. We paired it with some BCBGeneration lace-up booties that I had trouble giving back! It was such a fun event overall! It was my first time walking a runway, and it was awesome! Taylor was dying over my walk-- result of watching millions of TV shows based on fashion (e.g. Project Runway, Make Me A Supermodel, and yes, America's Next Top Model). It was exhilarating.

Flapper Era Details

I just recently competed in All Sing, which if you don't know is a "Glee-like" competition amongst many organizations from UT, mostly Greek. My lovely sisters of ADPi and I did excerpts from Throroughly Modern Millie, a musical based in the 1920s flapper era. Absolutely LOVED these costumes, hair, and makeup. Pin curls, intricate beading, bright red lips-- so classy, feminine, and fun. I bopped around with my "mom cam" and got some pretty cool detailed shots, including some epic ones in the ADPi Parlor. Enjoy!

Furry Friend

Fur Vest from Goodwill! / Truve Silk Button Down / Liquid Leggings / Deena & Ozzy Boots

My real new furry friend is below. Her name is Finn (Mable Finch). All of our dogs have been named from the To Kill A Mockingbird characters: Madison Scout, Molly Atticus, Mable Finch. Technically, she's my mom's pup but I may just steal her upon graduation. Who could resist that face.

Sparkle and Braid

Braid How To: Make a deep part. French braid your hair around your head until you reach around to the same side of the part. Then, braid as normal. Make sure when you are moving from the french braid to the normal braid that you pull forward/up. Pin/clip end of braid like below and be sure to tuck in the ends! Viola!
